Study Abroad in Quito
Area Studies & Language Program

Why Quito?
With a diverse population of nearly 1.4 million people, Quito is a vibrant and modern city, and although it is located only 22 miles from the equator, the city's high altitude ensures "eternal spring" temperatures throughout the year. Quito – an architectural jewel – is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Come and meet this exciting country that, in addition to its natural riches, offers you the warmth and hospitality of its people.

The IES Abroad Quito Area Studies & Language Program
Study abroad on the Quito Language & Area Studies Program and focus your studies on Ecuador's ecological and ethnic diversity and the challenges of development. The program stresses Spanish immersion and offers Spanish-taught courses in a variety of disciplines and courses at local universities. Internships and service learning opportunities are also available.
